The tech guru is attempting to bypass Tehran’s clampdown on communications by activating the system following a Treasury Department policy change allowing companies to provide online services.
In reply to Blinken’s announcement on Twitter, Musk tweeted, “Activating Starlink…”.
The move will allow Iranians to access various social media platforms after the government blocked social media apps such as Instagram and WhatsApp.
