300+ Italy-Bound Migrants Rescued By Cyprus

Cyprus has helped rescue over 300 migrants crammed onto a small wooden boat bound for Italy that was floating adrift having reportedly left Lebanon three days ago before sending out a distress call Monday afternoon, officials reported Tuesday.

The migrants were transferred to the nearby Marshall Islands-flagged cargo ship Paolo Topic, which was ordered by its company to continue to its destination of Istanbul.
