Uvalde School Year Begins With Incomplete Security Upgrades

Over 100 Uvalde families have withdrawn their children from campus lessons to attend virtual learning as schools in the Texas district begin their academic year with new security cameras, fences and locks still not completely installed.

Texas Department of Public Safety has offered about three dozen state troopers for school campuses, but that hasn’t eased parents’ fears – there were over 90 at the tragic Robb Elementary shooting.
