Mayor Lori “Bettlejuice’ Lightfoot accused Texas Gov Greg Abbott of “manufacturing a human crisis” by sending 50 more of his state’s migrants to Chicago Sunday – despite insisting she wanted them to feel like her city “wrapped our arms around them, loved them and supported them.”
Chicago Alderman Raymond Lopez slated her muddled focus on migrants by tweeting that “victims of Chicago gang violence get… [crickets emoji]”. This deadly Labor Day weekend, eight Chicago residents have been killed and dozens injured in shootings.
“There could be a level of coordination and cooperation, but [Abbott] chooses to do none of those things. Instead, he chooses to send human beings across the country to an uncertain destination. That’s unacceptable,” complained ‘BJ’ Lightfoot on Sunday.
