Chief of Russian Oil Giant Lukoil Dies

Ravil Maganov – the chairman of the second-largest oil producer in Russia – has died after falling from a hospital window in Moscow, sources told Reuters.

Maganov had worked in the company since 1993, taking charge of its refining, production and exploration. He became chairman in 2020, before being treated for a “severe illness” according to his company’s statement confirming his passing.

Reports say that the police have launched an investigation into the death.
