Eduardo Bolsonaro under investigation for involvement during J6?

According to US congressman, Eduardo may be included in the line of investigation that ascertains the involvement of international connections of the far right in the attack.

Federal Congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) may be included in the investigations into the invasion of the Capitol, in the USA, on January 6, 2021.

The information was given by Democratic Congressman Jamie Raskin to a delegation of representatives of civil entities from Brazil, who are in Washington to talk about a possible risk of a coup in Brazil’s presidential elections.

According to Folha de S.Paulo, Raskin told the Brazilian delegation that one of the lines of investigation in the case involves the participation of international connections of the far right in the invasion. Eduardo Bolsonaro may be included because he was in the US capital days before the invasion, and met with people close to then-President Donald Trump.

According to reports on American websites, Eduardo would have met with businessman Michael Lindell and other Trump allies involved in planning the invasion. The Brazilian congressman denies that he participated in meetings with people linked to the attack. He says he was in the US capital on January 4 to meet with the then-president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, and her husband, Jared Kushner, Trump’s adviser at the time.
Raskin praised the meeting with the Brazilian entourage, saying it was “very educational”. “It is clear that pro-democracy and pro-human rights forces in Brazil are afraid that something like what happened in the US on January 6 could happen in their country,” Raskin said.
