U.S. publishes document criticizing Brazil and citing Bolsonaro’s meeting with granddaughter of Nazis

The US State Department published this week the official US government report on religious freedom in the world.

In a section dedicated to Brazil, Joe Biden’s administration lists attacks against religious minorities and the meeting of president Jair Bolsonaro and a representative of the German extreme right.

The document also cites former Congressman Roberto Jefferson, an ally of the Brazilian president, pointing out that he was indicted for “belonging to a criminal organization that opposed democracy.”

Beatrix von Storch, deputy and deputy leader of the party that was with Bolsonaro, is the granddaughter of Adolf Hitler’s finance minister, who was convicted by the Nuremberg Tribunal for war crimes.
