Brazil and the US hold strategic defense meeting for greater cooperation

To enhance collaboration opportunities and increase interoperability, the Brazilian Ministry of Defense, through the Armed Forces Joint Staff (EMCFA), received a delegation from the Vice Directorate of Joint Force Development (J7), of the United States Department of Defense (DoD).

The meeting took place on Tuesday (5), at the folder’s headquarters, in the federal capital. The initiative contributes to Brazil’s projection in the international concert scenario among nations.

During the meeting, chaired by the deputy chief of International Affairs, Brigadier General Himario Brandão Trinas, topics such as “Joint Operations, Humanitarian Aid, Civil Defense Support and J7 exchange”, “Defense College” and “Developing Capabilities” were presented.
